brick staining

I cannot express enough how satisfied I am with the outcome of this brick staining project. I am not a fan of the color red. Although I do like brick, the brick in the front of my home has faded and discolored over time. When my home was painted almost ten years ago, the painters also got multiple drips onto the brick causing it to lose its clean and bright look. I originally wanted to stone over the brick but that would have easily cost well over $2,000. I contemplated about what could be more cost effective. I knew I did not want to paint over it because I see painted brick often and over time it appear as though it begin to chip away and is not as long lasting. I did some research and learned that staining the brick is different in the sense that it allows the brick to breathe by seeping into the brick rather than sitting on top, covering the pores like paint does. This was an extremely tedious project as I had to paint each individual brick and the tops, bottom and sides as well. I have already received a bunch of compliments from numerous neighbors and that always feels really fantastic!
