wood Plank Accent Wall
An accent wall added to a room is one of my favorite touches in home design. An accent wall can take a boring room and provide a refreshing focal point allowing the atmosphere to feel renewed without renovating every wall or area of the space. I would always come across wood plank accent walls in my search of ‘do it yourself’ ideas. Weathered wood gives an ‘all natural’ addition to your home giving your space an earthly feel. I had so much fun playing with the different stains often even mixing multiple of them on a single plank to give a more in depth weathered variation. After I stained the planks I allowed them to sit for a few weeks so the smell of the stain would subside. I used a mitre saw to cut them to size then used drywall nails to attach them to the wall.
